Alex Ta, is a partner at Morten Fairchild & Ta. He is chair of the Workers’ Compensation department. Alex’s practice is focused on representing carious insurance carriers, third-party administrators and municipalities. His work crosses over into employment and labor law arenas, where he provides consultations and advise on human resources issues. Before joining Morten Fairchild & Ta, Mr. Ta represented a wide array of clients in the defense of workers’ compensation cases at the WCAB throughout the State of California. His litigation and trial experience resulted in numerous victories over the course of his career. In addition, his aggressiveness in bringing matters to conclusion has put an end to “unsettleable” cases.
Additionally, Mr. Ta has represented clients in international trade and finance. Specifically, he is knowledgeable about the various trade agreements with East Asian nations and import/export laws. After graduate school, Mr. Ta was director of business affairs at Peregrine Capital, a Hong Kong based hedge fund.

Mr. Ta is a member of the American Bar Association, California Bar Association, and the Orange County Bar Association. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Central, Eastern, and Southern Districts. Outside of work, Alex enjoys spending time with his wife and four daughters. He is also fluent in Vietnamese, and conversant in Spanish and French.
